探索频道纪录片《冰湖浪人》带你见识不受法律约束的北极生活，躲不过人性… 也逃不出大自然的手掌心，并非所有的叁不管城镇都已随着西部蛮荒时代消失。在加拿大的西北地方有一座遗世独立的冰湖，住在这里的人无需缴税也不受法律约束。大奴湖的居民完全依照自己的标准过日子。然而，这个冰封的乌托邦并非总是世外桃源，尤其是当脚下的冰层开始裂开的时候。

全球首播的系列节目《冰湖浪人》揭露一个法治外的世界，勇敢无畏的男男女女在这里对抗饥饿、危险的地形与随时可能冻死的威胁，只是为了过原始的生活。
就在冬季湖面结冰之前几天。在这段至关重要的时间里，踏错一步就可能会失去家园，甚至失去性命。不过，撑过了寒冬的人仍须面对严酷逆境。他们必须寻找食物、维修房屋和保持暖气来源，才能在厚达五寸、瞬息万变的冰层上存活。环境随着季节更迭变得越来越危险，春天冰雪融化。大奴湖的冰层表面裂开，冰层上的一切随之移动，居民也必须担心住处与人身安全。

对大奴湖的居民来说，唯一比得上破裂冰层与酷寒冰水的威胁就是彼此，这些现代拓荒者争抢湖面上最安全的位置与稀少的日常用品。《冰湖浪人》质疑这样的取舍是否值得：为了过跳脱法律的自由生活而面临永无止尽的劳动、危险与未知，又或者这些收获并不值得他们如此冒险?
